Great Wall Restaurant

Dingy place. Adds to the charm. Nice staff. Excellent smiles. And I love the food. But I always love Chinese buffets. If you don't like Chinese buffets, don't go here because this is a Chinese buffet. As far as Chinese American buffets are concerned, this is a good one. Good selection and everything is fresh. Love the peppered sea food.

My go-to when I need a fix for General's Chicken. I have been visiting Great Wall for 25 years, and they are an amazing value. There is better Chinese food in town, there is cheaper Chinese food in town, but Great Wall has the best bang-for-buck hands down. It's a great place to visit when you're in a rush or with small kids.

Good food cheap buffet and even soda is cheap. 1 star off because not all items were super hot. I will go again.

One of my two favorite buffets in Boise, been going here ten years and it's still amazing. There's a good reason this place has stayed open so long!

Great Buffet... Lots of various choices. Food is always consistent. we have tried many other Chinese buffets in the area and we always go back to Great Wall. Wait staff is exceptional and attentive.

A slightly below average buffet. It was like $12 for an adult and .75 per year for children. The food was ok. Not a huge selection though. The flavors blended together. The meats taste very similar. The dessert options were pretty good with pies, ice, cream, or soft serve. The soups were not very good. They were very thick and bland. So for the price we'd probably visit a different buffet in town. The food was tasty but the lack of variety was a big let down.

The food was not good. All of the meat tasted the same, and none of it was flavorful. Very greasy and bland. We came for dinner and it seemed like the food had been sitting out for hours. Even the peanut chicken which is raved about on here was so chewy it was inedible. We will not be coming back. Service was fine.

Good food at good price.

Most of the food was fine, but some was over cooked and mushy for lack of a better word. Definitely not the best buffet out there, but it was okay. I hear it used to be a lot better back in the day. I hope they can get back there again and I'll try it in a few years.

They have the best Chinese food in Boise! At least that's my opinion. But seriously, we've tried other places and theirs is the best. Their buffet is really good, has all our favorites, including really good California roll and delicious hot tea which is included in the price. The food is always fresh and hot. They have the Mongolian bbq also, but I can't get past the buffet. It's soooooo good. It's clean, comfortable and the staff is always friendly.

The only reason I am giving them two stars is because their customer service. They didn’t not send forks with delivery. The gravy is well two dollars for a reason. The gravy had a jelly like consistency. The weird thing is it smelled like cat pee. The rice and mandarin chicken tasted like water. Just a disgusting meal.

Been around for years. Go to favorite is fried rice and sweet and sour chicken. Also love their tea....soothes the soul while you stuff your face with yummy food ;)

After spending 60.00 on a delivery dinner, they messed up our order entirely, didn’t send drinks and it would have taken forever to fix. They then offered a $4.00 credit for our inconvenience...I would choose another restaurant but if not definitely check before you pay!!!

I absolutely love taking the family here! The food is always fresh when we go! The staff and management are amazing! Always smiling and quickly getting us seated. Drinks stay full and table stayes cleared. I reccomend this place every chance I get! Thank you staff and management for being so wonderful!

Food is good, service is good and friendly, but the bathroom's are horrible.

All you can eat. What could be better. Timing is everything when going here. Lunch hour to me seems to be the best time to go.

The pictures posted looked amazing so I thought that I would try it. When I came in it was smaller than I expected, but almost everything but maybe two things that I tried I liked. The peanutbutter chicken was way better than expected, the general tso was amazing, the orange chicken was super good, chinese donuts are always good so can't go wrong there, the crab lagoon was in a review on here saying that it's a must try so I tried it and yes! It was! I had not even two full plates and I was satisfied. The service is good, they take care of you but don't overcrowd you, and they pay attention to your drink level. Will definitely be coming back.

The food was horrible and the staff seemed kinda off. I used to love going here but there were small children screaming and running laps around the restaurant. Some booths were broken and the place was pretty dirty. I’ve been going here for years but it’s gone so downhill that I won’t want to go again. It’s pretty saddening.

Food is tasty and inside is pleasant and bright. It's a buffet with plenty of choices. I have tried different times going there as the food is never really hot. Last night we went at six o'clock, what I consider the dinner hour and the food was still luke warm. Tasted good but I really like my food hot. After several tries, not sure if I will go back. Probably will check out other buffets.

I am overly joyed with the quality of the food here! There is nothing worse than craving chinese and it arrives to only be so gross you make a sammich instead. Lol. Very fast delivery with a smile! Even one that food was fresh it still tasted like garbage for 2 people at $25 not worth the money at all ate very little stomach is killing

Let me start by saying I have been going to this restaurant for over 10 years. At one point I ate my lunch there once a week. Sadly, the last couple of times I have been have been less then stellar. Their food quality has seem to have gone downhill and I think that this might be the last time that I go there. Lastly, my review of the staff is a 4 out of 5 but the food is no longer good enough to keep eating there.

I've been here a lot of times and have never had a bad experience. They have a stir fry area and a sushi table along with good food and dessert.

Food was cool. Imagine it is hard to keep consistent temperatures and food fresh when it is a buffet. Wished they would offer more meat that is not breaded and fried, like grilled chicken, shrimp, fish, etc!

Great Wall = Great Value 💯

Fancy by no means but the restaurant is comfortable and spacious for large gatherings. Great variety for the buffet, sushi, salad bar, and of course a made-to-order window! Great Wall has awesome weekday lunch specials and one order could easily feed two people. Prices are extremely reasonable and the staff is always pleasant. For those who may not like Chinese food, there are plenty of options to keep everyone happy. Awesome alternative to the sports bar if you want to watch a game.

Amazing service and awesome food. Read ALL reviews and was hesitant but we went anyway. Very impressed. 4 people and the manager went out of their way to make me some bomb sesame chicken. A little different than what I am used to but OH SO GOOD!! Buffet was excellent and again...service with a smile. All super friendly from beginning to end. No complaints here and if we were not 4 hours away we would come more often. We live in Idaho Falls and the chinese food there is awful and super expensive no matter where you eat. Thank you again!!!

Great food. It had been more than 20 years since we had eaten at Mancino's and we were anxious to try it.They've moved from their old home in the Holly shopping center so the atmosphere is different but the food is the same delicious treat.

Honestly, we come here for the fried rice and the stir-fry on the buffet. The servers are always friendly and the cost for the buffet is really reasonable, considering that it includes your beverage and ice cream for dessert. We always ask for a root beer float. Not the fanciest place, but a great option for kids.

I love the spicy chicken , green beans and the mushroom pork. Though my favorite thing is the service and the staff. What a comfortable and great place to eat with fast service for a great price. You can’t beat it.
